Erasmus Mundus Journalism, Media and Globalisation (EMJ)

"Prague is a great place to study and live. It's a living history but at the same time it's a modern, vibrant city with many professionals in the field of journalism and media studies, who you can gain experience from."
Sandra Lábová
EMJ coordinator

Studying EMJ will give you a unique educational experience because you will be studying and living in at least two European countries. You will spend the first year at the Aarhus University and Danish School of Media and Journalism in Denmark and then, according to the specialization you will have chosen, you will move either to Prague, Amsterdam, London, or Munich. The program focuses on analytical skills that will help you to identify and analyze cultural, political, and technological challenges and opportunities for journalism across the globe.

In Prague, we offer the Totalitarianism & Transition specialization. This specialization gives you a solid understanding of the contemporary history of post-totalitarian countries. You will use the obtained theoretical knowledge for the practical courses in the production of audio, video, and multimedia journalism.

After graduation, one of many possible career paths leads to the field of audiovisual journalism or foreign correspondence.
