Economics and Finance (BEF)

"Our focus is on making links between economics and finance and providing a solid background in analytic reasoning."
Michal Červinka
BEF coordinator

If you are strong in mathematics and looking for applying this skill in the field of economics and finance, BEF is the right program for you. It will give you a thorough grounding in both theoretical and applied economics and finance and develop your abstract analytical reasoning. During the studies, you can also specialize already at the Bachelor level thanks to the wide range of elective courses that will both broaden your horizons and allow you to focus on a specific area of your interest.

You will be taught not only by academics, but also by external professionals from the Central Bank and commercial banks and by business analysts.

After completing this program, you can continue in a Master program in related fields of study (for example in our Master programs focused on economics, corporate finance or data analysis) or you will easily find a career in banking, consulting, investment funds or public administration.

Admission Requirements

Aside from the general admission requirements, you need to have an excellent background in high-school mathematics. Prior knowledge of economics or finance is an advantage, but it is not required.
